Honestly, it took many pages for me to have that eagerness to finish the book. It’s not that the story isn’t interesting and good, it isn’t just what I expected at the beginning. I had to put it down several times, suspended the reading and got back to it after a day or two. But when I started to unravel the soul of the story, it became a winner for me. The  Daughter of Smoke and Bones   is mind-boggling, wicked and mysterious. Laini Taylor has created unique characters she describes perfectly like they exist in the real world—illustrating physical images that loiter in your imagination. How can you forget a girl with bright blue hair? That is Karou, a young art student in Prague who speaks many languages—which not all of them human—and who is swathed in mysteries apart from the unique color of her hair. I really can’t fathom why I found to love reading this book. My excitement for fantasy books could be the driving force, but for sure I loved this work by Rae Carson. The Girl of Fire and Thorns  is such an intriguing title, isn’t it?
